George C. Halvorson is the former chairman and CEO of Kaiser Permanente, the nation’s largest nonprofit health plan and hospital system. Mr. Halvorson led Kaiser Permanente’s investment in electronic medical records and physician support systems, which resulted in diminished infection rates and improved patient outcomes. Mr. Halvorson has lent his expertise to dozens of boards and commissions, including the National Committee for Quality Assurance, America’s Health Insurance Plans, and the Alliance of Community Health Plans. Mr. Halvorson has been a member of MITRE’s Board of Trustees since 2014, and co-chairs MITRE’s Health Advisory Committee.
