Rachel Mayer, M.P.H., is a senior researcher and health analyst at The MITRE Corporation with diverse healthcare experiences at large healthcare facilities and a private practice. Her specific areas of knowledge expertise include maternal health, veteran’s health, and social and behavioral sciences. Through MITRE’s independent research and development program, Mayer leads a research project focusing on the development of an interactive tool to empower data-driven decision-making among policymakers to reduce severe maternal morbidity and mortality within the United States. Her work has been syndicated in dozens of publications across the country. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Miami and an M.P.H. in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.
