Jay Walonoski, M.S., brings engineering, mathematics, and modeling and simulation expertise to advance health policy decision making. Mr. Walonoski is a thought leader in machine learning and software engineering. He helped create an open-source software tool—known as Synthea—that generates synthetic patients and their medical histories so that the health IT community can test their systems. Mr. Walonoski has given talks about Synthea and SyntheticMass at the American Medical Informatics Association and the Duke University School of Medicine. Mr. Walonoski earned his M.S. in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts.
