Elizabeth Brokaw

Elizabeth Brokaw, Ph.D., is a biomedical engineer and researcher at MITRE focused on medical device development and quantitative health assessment. Her research includes the development and clinical evaluation of wearable sensors, robotic devices, and telemedicine solutions for individuals with impairments due to traumatic brain injury, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, or cerebral palsy. Throughout her career she has worked closely with clinical partners and individuals with neurological conditions to ensure the high clinical relevance of research outcomes. Dr. Brokaw received her B.S. in bioengineering from the University of Maryland in College Park, and her M.S. and Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
