Principal Investigator
Neurotechnology

Michael Fine, Ph.D., is a biomedical engineer at MITRE focused on applying technical and engineering expertise in neurotechnology to problems in human performance modeling and rehabilitation. His work includes: developing new techniques to quickly and accurately diagnose mild traumatic brain injury, working in collaboration with clinical partners; developing new rehabilitation technologies for the assessment of motor impairment, including cerebral palsy; and developing a toolkit for lower-limb prosthetic research. Dr. Fine received his B.S. in physics and astronomy from Colgate University, and his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied sensorimotor learning in children and adults.
